Speaking of a world with dying hope, it appears that the Writers Guild strike is going to happen. Nothing's official at this hour, but it is looking grim. I won't go into a whole explanation of the issues...

United Hollywood is a WGA outreach blog, for more information: a pro-writer, pro-guild sanctuary to help counter the negative PR out there. The Artful Writer is a good, provocative blog on WGA issues, run by two prominent WGA members. Check it out for some heated debates.

At this point, honestly, I'd rather we strike sooner rather than later. Technically, we could postpone an official strike and continue to work without a contract while negotiations continue... but I ain't working as it is. And I'm not likely to get new work in the current environment.

Time to activate the Left Brain...

Need to finish some writing. Need to secure some work to get me through the rest of the year. Prepare for the rough times.

Everything is going to be okay.
