Anarchy City
Rockstar is letting you download Grand Theft Auto I & II for free. (PC-users only, obviously.)
A brief history of the GTA games.
GTA III for the PS2 is where the game series really took off.
Then there was GTA: Vice City, a period 80's game set in a fictionalized Miami.
And then GTA: San Andreas, a period 90's game set in a fictionalized California.
And now, for a new generation of hardware, GTA IV. The fact that it's officially labeled "IV" is a good indication that the developers consider it to be the next evolutionary step for the series.
And now... for the HULU...
Everybody enjoying your motherfucking HULU? Here's my attempt at using their embed function, in which you can embed a specific section of a video.
(I actually had to adjust my fucking blog template in order to accommodate the larger width of the fucking HULU vids. Note to self, as of today, the main content width has been expanded from 410 pixels to 510 pixels.)
It's not nearly as precise as I'd like it to be, but a cool idea. Especially when you want to highlight a Dean Winters segment of 30 Rock, 'steada the whole damn thing.
Their selection of shows and *clips* is a bit thin for now. And I hate not being able to skip commercials, even though they may be few and far between. I appreciate the need for advertising dollars, but there has got to be a better way to incorporate them beyond the antiquated STOP-EVERYTHING-WHILE-WE-FORCE-YOU-TO-WATCH-THIS method.
